Description

Discover how things move with science! Each day, learn about a different realm of the scientific world. Become a zoologist and study the lives of birds! Step into the shoes of an engineer to learn all about structures & simple machines. Put on your lab coat and be a chemist for the day! What’s more, you’ll get to make and bring home animal houses, challenging puzzles, chemistry based creations, and more! Science in Motion is the perfect introduction to all things scientific!

When registering your child, choose the grade they are entering in the fall.

Birds and the Beasts
Study Biology as you become an ornithologist and discover the unique characteristics of birds. Investigate feathers to see how birds fly. Build a birdhouse and make your own seed mixture to attract your favorite species of birds to your own yard.
Crazy Chemistry
Explore and use chemistry to understand chemical reactions and physical changes. Make your own sidewalk chalk and even a chocolate candy roll. Use chromatography to make a camp T-shirt and shoot off your own alka-seltzer rockets.
Jr. Engineers
Structures are all around you, everywhere you look and go! Learn how to inspect the elements of (and forces that affect) structures as you build, test, and even eat some structures you create. Build a Soma cube puzzle that may even stump your parents!
Machine Mania
Learn all about simple machines and how they affect our lives! Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults and mega-pinchers! Use machines you create to feed yourself and shoot ping-pong balls! Operating your machines will make work seem like play.
Shutterbugs
Explore the use of light to understand photography. Make a cool kaleidoscope with mirrors. Apply your skills to make a camera obscura that will help you understand how a camera works. See the world in rainbow with your prism glasses, and explore UV light.
